From One Global Emergency to Another
Who would have thought that the environment is paying the price of keeping us safe? The Corona Virus is not only harmful to the human population but is causing a significant increase in the amount of litter and the plastic waste is devastating marine life. Plastic masks are currently not only all over parking lots and filling up landfills but they are also found in the oceans. Waste in oceans is already a huge problem globally and the addition of PPE is only creating a larger global crisis. There may now be a vaccine to help the human population fight the virus, but the effects of the Corona Virus are far from over. We will be living the aftermath of Covid-19 for years to come on both land and sea.
